9th International Conference
on
Advanced Composite Materials in Bridges and Structures
May 27 & 28, 2025
Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba
ACMBS-IX is being held in conjunction with the CSCE Annual Conference.
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the Structures Division of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), I am pleased to invite you to attend the 9th International Conference on Advanced Composite Materials in Bridges and Structures, ACMBS-IX, to be held at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg on May 27-28, 2025. This is one of the earliest conference series on the use of Advanced Composite Materials (ACM) in civil structures (Sherbrooke, 1992; Montreal, 1996; Ottawa, 2000; Calgary, 2004; Winnipeg, 2008; Kingston, 2012; Vancouver 2016; and 2021 Sherbrooke).
The conference will provide a great opportunity to bring together academics, researchers, and practitioners from around the world in the fields of structural and bridge engineering utilizing ACM and fibre-reinforced polymers (FRPs) in all aspects of research, field applications, design, construction and rehabilitation of bridges and other structures.
The City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, is well known as “the cultural cradle of Canada”, and the home to a very diverse population, the world-class Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the world’s most comprehensive Arctic species exhibit, the Forks, the historical Exchange District, the French-flavored St. Boniface and many other attractions. The Fairmont Hotel is in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, in easy walking distance from these attractions.
A variety of activities are being planned to entertain conference delegates and their guest family and friends. I encourage you to make Winnipeg a destination of yours in 2025.
We look forward to welcoming you and extending our great Prairie hospitality to you.
